Browning a5 problems
I first noticed it at the trap range in July. My gun was not locking back after shooting Browning Dove&Clay loads. Sometimes the bolt would slam back and bite the brass head of the shell in the receiver. I had bought 250 rounds of it. 225 gave me issues at the trap range or dove fields in September.

It sounds as though you may want to replace the recoil spring that fits around the magazine tube. Purchase a Grace A5 screwdriver set then remove the stock & replace the recoil spring inside the small tube. They don't go far because when the barrel moved out of battery the Cartridge Stop moved into White's path. The returning barrel moves the Cartridge Stop back flush with the receiver and White and Blue continue aft until White's rim hits the Carrier Latch.As was mentioned above, there's rarely a reason to totally disassemble an auto-5. It's easy to take the stock off to get to the return spring, and trigger assembly out, and barrel off, and recoil spring assembly.
