p1298 has nothing to do with a shorted pcm. it is simply a bad eld. i forgot about p1361 - this isn't a bad sensor. this is a bad cylinder head! 1361 is intermittent tdc signal intertuption. when it gets really bad you will get p1362 - tdc no signal. no signal because the endplay is so bad the cam moves away from the sensor! the camshaft …Then start the engine and turn the headlights on and check for the same code.
