How to lock subaru while running

Seems you can use the mechanical key to lock the keys in the vehicle which makes some sense since it would sense that lock cylinder being turned and know you can get back inside. The Ram just checks for the fob inside the truck when it locks. If the fob is detected inside it chirps the horn and the doors unlock. Seems simple enough.

Took the physical cut key out of the fob, left the fob in the center bin, made sure all doors, besides the drivers door, were locked, got out and used the physical cut key in the key hole on the drivers door to lock.
