The charts do drop from the Salvaged Glass you now get from dead Sentinels but it’s a low drop rate. You can definitely find a pillar from the new Settlement-based quest line. The Salvaged Glass the Sentinels drop on death will rarely contain Sentinel Boundary Maps which ping the location of Pillars :o.

^ this is correct. Loot the canisters the sentinels drop when you destroy them. You should get the glass shard or something named like that. After a couple hours of nonstop sentinel fighting, I've defeated level 5 waves on 5 separate occasions, across different planets in different systems. One of those times bugged out and I ended up fighting 3(!!!) sentinel walkers before just leaving since the wave couldn't be finished.
