It seems they purposely use friction for retention. This was their response to me: Generally speaking, the lack of audible “click” compared to many other polymer holsters, is intentional. The very distinct click comes from improper molding and design of a holster that is loose and sloppy overall and then very sharp around the trigger guard.

Waste of money, the Velo 4 is far superior and the retention screw doesn't work double duty for the claw. The biggest problem I have w/ Tenicor is the limited selection on models they make holsters for, its so comfortable that it limits my decisions on what my next handgun would be. Bought a Tenicor Velo Blem and got it today. Tried it out and was shocked to find my G43x slides in and out freely. I mean absolutely no retention at all. Tried to tighten up the retention but it doesn’t matter how tight I got it—totally bottomed out, and even tried shorter Chicago screws—no improvement.
